Our story

A home built slowly on a hill

Ann and Ton left Bangkok to grow coffee here in 2019. Each house was built slowly with builders from the village, and we run it the way we'd want to stay ourselves: nothing to rush.

Our story

  1. Green rice terraces on a hillside in morning light

    2019

    Moving up the hill

We bought a small plot of abandoned coffee garden, meaning only to grow coffee and slow down.

  2. A white bedroom with linen sheets and window light

    2021

    The first house

Friends kept asking to stay, so we built Baan Noi — five months with the village carpenter.

  3. A wooden cabin deck looking out over pine-covered hills

    2024

    Opening to guests

Four houses and a tent deck, properly registered, and still run by the family.

What we hold on to

  • Small on purpose

Never more than 16 guests at once, so everyone gets the quiet.

  • From the village

Vegetables, eggs, coffee and fabrics come from neighbours around the hill.

  • Straight talk

Steep road, patchy signal, fog not guaranteed — we always say so first.

A few house rules

  • 1.Quiet after 22:00 — the neighbours farm at dawn.
  • 2.No smoking indoors or in tents; the stone terrace is fine.
  • 3.Sort rubbish at the car park bins — we recycle weekly.
  • 4.Shoes off indoors; slippers provided.
